The 2013 Cup finals took place at Heron Tennis on Sunday 8th September. After a wonderful summer play was a little delayed by rain, but the sun managed to shine for most of the day.
After an exciting mornings tennis the first presentations took place. The Holman Cup was won by Truro A, Division 1 won by Hayle A and Divsion 2 by St. Agnes C. For the ladies Truro A took the Morton Nance Cup, With Penzance A winning Div 1 and Penzance B Division 2.
We all had a lovely buffet lunch thanks to the staff in the First Serve Café. After lunch Truro 1 and Hayle 1 battled it out for the Booth Cup. After the first 2 rubbers things were even 1 win each. With all to play for the heavens opened again and the remainder of the match had to be played in the dome. Truro 1 took another rubber then in the final match Hayle could only manage to win in a 3 set thriller. Truro won the cup 5 sets to 4. The closest final for years.
