A fantastic 28 players headed off to Maryport for the second leg of the West Cumbria mini red tour on the 9th December.
After a total of 79 matches were played in 3 hours it was a Carlisle 1 & 2 with Chatsworth’s Logan Cowan and Bitts Park debutante Lauren Bell coming away victorious with wins over Daniel Woodcock and Zoe Dalton. With a few surprise results the leaderboard is starting to look very interesting as the tour moves onto the Stainburn leg on the 29th December.
Organiser David Wise was delighted saying “the turn out was fantastic and we had to hire a second hall to cope, but you can see that the children are loving it and are desperate to move up that leaderboard and qualify for the finals in March and the great thing is that they have improved since the Silloth event in November.”
