To compliment the new coaching programme and show what a beautiful competition venue it is Eden Lawn Tennis Club in Carlisle held the first of many matchplay days.
With 10 rated players of 10.2 to 8.2 taking part the quality of play was excellent with good weather to match.
Referee David Wise said: “This is a truly great venue to hold competitive play with a warm welcome, good clubhouse and good courts as well.” “With the club championships to follow in September I think we are going to see a lot more of Eden Lawn in the future.”
