Ullswater’s Ethan Rudd jumped an astonishing 8 places on the Mini Red Tour Leaderboard by reaching the final of the Lakes College leg of the West Cumbrian event.
Eventually pipped by the ever consistent (and new Leaderboard leader) Logan Cowan, Ethan’s late charge has really opened up the field as the tour marches onto Moorclose Sports Centre on 10th February for what will be the last event before the top 8 boys and girls are invited back for the grand finals.
In the girls event Silloth’s Anna Fisher regained form as she won an evenly contested match against fellow Sillothian Abigail Mossop, 10-7. With the 25 players on show playing some unbelievable tennis and showing great improvement, the excitement is gathering as the battle for those top spots gathers pace.
