The Christmas holidays saw another 16 players take part in the latest leg of the highly successful West Cumbria Mini Red Tour for under 8 players. Held at Workington’s Stainburn School Sports Hall the event was another action packed competition full of wonderful Tennis all played in a fantastic spirit. This was typified by the boys final and third placed matches, both of which went to the wire as Chatsworth Tennis Club’s Akshay
Dharmrajan and Archie Agnew fought out an exhilarating final with Akshay coming out on top 14-12 with local player Leighton Almond showing how quick he is improving by squeezing past Sonny Kelly 12-10. In the girls event local player Zaynab Brooks continued her domination by beating Emma Holecova in the final making it 3 event wins in a row.
