The last leg of the 5 event West Cumbria Mini Red Tour took place at Moorclose Sports Centre in Workington and it was left to the top 4 performers to contest what turned out to be the battles for the Leaderboard titles.
Over the course of the tour Zoe Dalton, Lauren Bell, Ethan Rudd and Casey Pattinson have always came in the top three at least with all 4 having won 2 events each so it was with a sense of justification that all 4 were there again to contest the finals in the 5th and final event with Casey and Zoe coming out on top. There were the usual amount of good performances but special mention goes to Jack Mandle (Penrith) and Hugo Lofgren (Lorton) who reached their first semi-finals with Jack finishing 3rd. Another big improver was Isabella Pirt from Workington.
As we move onto the grand finals at Maryport on the 23rd of March it’s anyone’s guess who will come away with the prestigious title of Mini Red Tour winner. Will Ethan gain his revenge? Will Lauren come back all guns blazing? It promises to be a great event whatever.
