Heversham Hammers came top of the new Cumbria 10U Winter County league table. There were 4 other teams in the league and the fixtures were played the club venues which could be challenging with the weather. The fixtures against Maryport and Bitts Park (Carlisle) Tennis Clubs were played at home at Heversham with Milnthorpe Tennis Club and the other two were played away against Ullswater & Eden Tennis Club, Penrith and Chatsworth Tennis Club, Carlisle.
Braving the wind and rain in each fixture all teams played some great tennis in the difficult winter conditions but Heversham Hammers came out victorious in each fixture to win the league.
