The third leg of the West Cumbria Mini Red Tennis Tour saw Workington Academy host another thrilling event as the third different winner proved that the overall levels are incredibly high this year. The Cumbria Community Foundation/Ashfield Tennis Club funded competition has really sparked into life and the improvement in one month has been incredible. Referee and organiser David Wise commented; “It really is difficult to pick a winner this time as there are around 8 players who could come out on top each time, I am so pleased with how things are going”. “Each event gives points for reaching various rounds with the top 8 qualifying for the grand finals in March and it is even difficult to say which 8 will make those it is so tight”.
