The Mini Green County Final provided a six hour festival of excellent tennis hosted by Duffield Tennis Club.
The top 2 teams from the North and South County Groups were invited to the finals event at Duffield. The first semi final saw Derby Tennis Centre playing Duffield, and after some close-fought matches DTC prevailed 9-1. Duffield's Ana Peters beat the DTC number 2, and played well against DTC's highly rated Reuben Shahidullah but finally lost after all 3 sets went to a tie-break. .

Duffield: Harvey Bradford, Ana Peters, Noah Fellows and Cal Hewing.
The second semi saw Ashbourne v David Lloyd Derby, with Ashbourne running out winners by 7 rubbers to 3. Ben Porter was David Lloyd's man of the match securing 2 wins for his team.

The 3rd/4th play off was a convincing 10-0 result for David Lloyd against host team Duffield, followed by the final between Ashbourne and Derby Tennis Centre which was a cracker with the lead swinging one way then the other. After some nailbiting matches the score stood at 4-4 with two singles left in progress. Will Farr then beat James Young 7-6 in the third set tiebreak and finally Maddie Nicholson overcame Louis Kybird to give Ashbourne a 6-4 win.
Event referee, Dean Latham, made special thanks to the parents for helping with the scoring and also to junior County player Sam Ashcroft who assisted all day with the organisation of the event. Dean commented on how impressed he was with the playing standard and sporting manner in which this event was played.
