Rolls Royce TC were celebrating this week as they became the latest club in Derbyshire to achieve LTA clubmark accreditation. The club with grass and hard tennis courts have become the tenth in Derbyshire to achieve the accreditation.
Tennis Clubmark recognises good practice in tennis clubs in areas including action planning, tennis development programmes, policies and procedures and communication. Rolls Royce have been working hard during the last year to put together the Tennis Clubmark folder with evidence of their range of activities and how the club is run.
Paul Sheard, LTA Tennis Development Manager for Derbyshire and Leicestershire visited Rolls Royce to present the clubmark plaque and thank the club for their efforts.
“I would like to congratulate Rolls Royce on achieving clubmark accreditation. Alex Higham worked tremedously hard to pull together all the evidence required to meet the tennis clubmark criteria and show that they are meeting the quality benchmark set out by Sport England. It’s been a long road but it's been a great effort by the club who were determined to produce a high standard evidence folder and use clubmark as a tool to help develop tennis activities at the club” said Paul.
