12 year old tennis player Jay Clarke from Derby has been awarded £500 in recognition of his outstanding sporting ability through the OCS Young Sports Person Awards in partnership with SportsAid.
Jay, who reached the semi-finals of the 12U AEGON Junior Nationals this summer and is currently ranked fourth in the country, fought off strong competition to win the Young Star award.
A real inspiration for his age, Jay also recently won a Winter National Tour 12U event and has been selected to represent GB at an International event at Queenswood School.
Jay was selected for the award from thousands of young sports people who were identified and nominated to SportsAid by their sport’s National Governing Body.
