An unbeaten run of six matches has put David Lloyd firmly at the top of Division One in the Derby Area Tennis League.
The club's top ladies' side finished third last year, behind the Derbyshire Tennis Centre and Church Broughton, but now lead both in the race for the summer season title.
Their sixth-straight win came at Littleover, where they won 6-2, but they will be looking to cement their leadership spot when they play their closest rivals Church Broughton firsts tomorrow.
Derbyshire Tennis Centre moved into third place with a 7-2 victory over Ockbrook and Borrowash firsts.
The win came courtesy of impressive performances by Rebecca Wood and Jayne Allsopp, who won their three sets for the loss of five games.
In Division Two, Rolls-Royce firsts stayed in the title hunt with a 5-4 win at second-from-bottom New Watchorn.
Alex Higham and Emilie Ravel both took three sets for the visitors, leaving the home side with one win in five matches.
Ripley moved to the top of Division Three, ahead of Darley Dale, with a 5-3 win over David Lloyd thirds.
Three sets from Shelley Frost and Julie Griffiths ensured Ripley took their fifth-straight win this season.
But Darley Dale and third-placed Church Broughton seconds maintained their challenge for the title with wins at home.
The former triumphed 8-1 against Ockbrook and Borrowash thirds, while Church Broughton claimed a 5-4 win over Belper Meadows firsts – with three sets from Michelle Redgrave and Fiona Brown.
BELPER Meadows' second team took control of Division Four with back-to-back victories.
The first came away at Rolls-Royce seconds, where they won 5-4, while the second was a 6-3 home victory over Duffield fourths.
Denstone College completed their programme with a 7-2 loss to Duffield fourths. It left them second-from-bottom above Church Broughton thirds.
In the men's section, David Lloyd firsts bounced back from their 6-3 loss against Division One leaders Duffield firsts with an 8-1 success against Ockbrook and Borrowash's top side.
Ockbrook and Borrowash then lost 9-0 at home to newly-promoted Ripley firsts, with the win securing their top-flight status for next year.
