Two Derbyshire players have been competing on the women's International Tennis Federation circuit.
Ena Ankutse and Gemma Praditngam both entered the AEGON GB Pro-Series tournament, held in Loughborough.
The competition was also part of the men's ATP Challenger Tour and among those taking part were world top-100 players Flavio Cipolla and Tobias Kamke and British number two James Ward.
Praditngam, who along with Ankutse represented Derbyshire at this year's AEGON Summer County Cup, was given a place in the qualifying rounds of the competition, replacing top seed Laura Schaeder, of Germany.
She faced Britain's Jazzamay Drew in the first round, losing a tight match 6-1, 4-6, 6-4. Drew, of Herefordshire and Worcestershire, lost her next match and failed to qualify for the main draw.
Ankutse, however, knocked out second seed Amanda Elliott 7-6(5), 6-4 in her first match, before missing out on a main-draw spot with a 6-1, 6-3 loss to Jade Schoelink.
