The fourth Derbyshire Junior Awards took place at Duffield on Sunday 18th September. The awards are held to celebrate and recognise the achievements of the junior players throughout the Derbyshire.
Jaye Clark walked away with the prestigious new Outstanding Performance Award for his fantastic efforts at the National Junior Championships in August.
Katy Wilson added the Girls Personality of the Year Award to her Player of the Year Award that she had been presented with at the Senior Awards Evening held in February. Ben Rushby followed the strong tradition set by his family members by picking up the Boys Personality of the Year Award. Jono Hughes from Duffield picked up the important Sportsmanship Award.
The day was split into two parts with the mini tennis players attending in the afternoon, followed by the older players during the evening. Every player who has represented Derbyshire in the Junior County Cup was invited to collect a medal in recognition of their efforts for the county. In addition, all the AEGON junior team tennis winners were presented at the evening.
