Three promising juniors have been chosen to follow in the footsteps of Grand Slam winners by representing Great Britain at the prestigious Les Petits As tournament in France.

Sheffield's Alex Jewitt flew to Australia on New Year's Day full of confidence after ending his season on the 2011 Wheelchair Tennis Tour with singles and doubles victories at the Johannesburg Open in South Africa. 

Rutland Sports Park

Stanton Tennis Club in Derbyshire are celebrating after receiving a grant from the LTA towards the renovation of the outdoor courts at Rutland Sports Park in Ilkeston.

Winter County Cup debutant Ben Rushby said he was both “honoured” and “surprised” to be nominated twice for this year’s tennis awards – but admitted he had enjoyed his best junior year.

Toby Perkins presents the cheque to Chesterfield club officials
