Derbyshire's Jay Clarke put in an outstanding performance at the Tennis Europe U14 Category 1 event in Italy last week, winning both the singles and doubles titles.
Third seeded Clark defeated Enrico Dalla Valle (ITA) 7-6(3), 6-4 and then faced Gian Marco Moroni (ITA) in the final. Clarke emerged triumphant against the Italian by a 7-6(4), 6-4 score line.
Clarke also enjoyed success in the doubles event with partner Kenneth Raisma (EST). The top seeded duo defeated Hungarian fifth seeds Akos Kotorman and Mate Valkusz 6-4, 5-7, 10-0.
Jay will now move to the top of the Tennis Europe 14U rankings. Congratulations from everyone in Derbyshire on another outstanding performance.
