Juniors Jay Clarke and Sam Ferguson teamed up to take the doubles title at their first clay court tournament of the season.
Earlier this year, the Derby youngsters were named among the best performing teenagers in Europe – after moving up the Tennis Europe under-14 ranking list.
And the 13-year-olds continued to cement their places in the organisation's top 10 by winning the doubles at the 19th Taça Internacional Maia Jovem, held in Portugal.
Clarke, from Normanton, and Ferguson, from Spondon, opened the competition with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Portuguese duo Francisco Faria and Bernardo Pires.
The pair, seeded one, received a second-round walkover before beating Turkey's Kaya Gore and Hungary's Akos Kotorman 6-3, 6-1.
In the semi-finals, they dispatched fourth-seeded Swiss pair Marko Osmakcic and Cedric Rudolph 6-0, 6-2.
But they did not need to walk on court to collect the tournament silverware, after fellow finalists and second seeds Daniel Bennett, of Great Britain, and Czech Alessandro Ricci decided to withdraw.
It was first time Clarke and Ferguson had teamed up since their appearance at the Tennis Europe Winter Cup finals, held in Italy.
Together with Long Eaton's Marcus Walters, the 13-year-olds represented Great Britain and beat three nations to win the tournament – worth 100 points towards a player's individual ranking.
As a result of their Portuguese win and recent performances, Clarke is ranked sixth in Tennis Europe's under-14 ranking list and Ferguson stands 10th.
Both are also inside the top 150 across all junior age groups which competed in the Association's tournaments.
In the singles competition at the Taça Internacional, fourth seed Ferguson reached the third round before losing 6-4, 7-6 to unseeded Spaniard Alex Dominguez Soto.
Clarke, seeded third, made it to the semi-finals but was beaten 6-3, 6-1 by Osmakcic.
His father, Earol, said: "Jay is playing incredibly well at the moment.
"He and Sam worked well together to win the doubles title in Portugal and I was very pleased that he made it to the semi-finals of the singles as well.
"What's really encouraging is that, if Jay has lost a match, he's coming off the court thinking he could have won it and is taking some confidence from that.
"I'm hoping that, soon, he'll be moving out of Tennis Europe and looking at playing some ITF tournaments."
Clarke also reached the semi-finals of another tournament, in Portugal, where he was the number one seed.
He dropped one set on his way before going down 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 to Portugal's Tiago Cacao, seeded third.
And, in the AEGON Junior International, at Nottingham, this week, Clarke entered as a wild card and beat fellow Brit Adam Glynn 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 before going out 7-6, 6-3 to second seed David Fox.
Clarke senior said: "He has some interesting tournaments coming up in the next few weeks, including ones in Bucharest, Rome and Slovenia.
"His sister, Yasmin, is also looking to obtain her coaching licence and take over looking after Jay. It's exciting times for him and I'm really pleased with his progress."
