Derbyshire's under-18 captain Katie Higson said her side should be proud of their efforts at the County Cup – despite their relegation setback.
The seven-strong squad lost all three rubbers, against Durham and Cleveland, Cambridgeshire and Staffordshire at the competition, in Birmingham, to finish bottom of Group 3B.
The team comprised Sarah Ashcroft, Emily Hewland, Louise Holtum, Mary Langen, Danielle Pym, Rebecca Williams and Katy Wilson.
Matches were the best of nine rubbers, with six singles and three doubles.
Derbyshire lost 8-1 to Durham and Cleveland, 9-0 to Cambridgeshire and 7-2 to Staffordshire.
Non-playing captain Higson said: "Obviously, it was disappointing for all the players and myself as captain.
"It was always going to be tough and that was proven on court.
"But all the players tried their very hardest and remained positive.
"All the other teams were stronger, as shown by the ratings, but the Derbyshire girls can be proud of their efforts."
