The Derbyshire Tennis Association took place on 26th November at the Travellers Rest in Derby and heard of another successful year for Derbyshire Tennis
The meeting included the election of the county officials and Rob Salmon was elected as the Chairman of the DTA. Rob has been involved in Derbyshire tennis for many years, and more recently has been the driving force behind the Derbyshire Awards Evening and the We are Derbyshire Tennis facebook page.
Following a change to the DTA it was also the first time that the chair people of the sub committees were elected at the AGM. Paul Hatton was voted in as chair of the Tennis sub committee and James Grindell was elected as chair of the Marketing and Events sub committion.
The meeting also saw the election of several new members of the management committee. These included Nick John (Woodlands), Jenni Bull (Ashbourne), James Rushby (Church Broughton) and Dave Wood (David Lloyd).
Diane Gibson was re-elected as Treasurer and Robert Gibson was re-elected as Secretary.
