Congratulations to Bradley Buckland and Reuben Shahidullah who won the 12&U Boys Doubles title at the Scottish Junior Open Championships last week. This is a national-level grade 2 competition so is a fantastic achievement for both boys. They played the national no. 12 and no. 14 in the finals so did really well to take the match 7-6(5). 6-2.
Congratulations must also go to Bradley for reaching the semi-finals in the 12&U Boys Singles, losing to Jacob Fearnley, the national no. 2, who then went on to win the tournament. Reuben was unfortunate enough to get Jack Draper, the national no. 1, in the first round of the event.
Both boys will also be representing Derbyshire this coming weekend in the Aegon County Cup 12&U Finals at Bolton. We wish the whole team the best of luck in this event.
