Tom Rushby from Church Broughon continued his domination of Derbyshire tennis by retaining the Mens Singles title at the Derbyshire Championships held at Duffield LTC.
Rushby, an Academy coach at the My Tennis High Performance Centre at Loughborough University, was once again in top form as he cruised to another county title. In the singles final Tom came up against Sam Ashcroft and eased to a 6-0 6-1 victory.
Tom then teamed up with his younger brother Ben to claim the Mens Doubles crown defeating Mark Smith and Phil Brindley 6-3 6-4 in the final.
The mixed doubles title was won by another Rushby, but this time it was mum Jane, who teamed up with Dan Cottier to beat Tom and sister Beth Walsh 7-6 5-7 12-10 in a close final.
Olivia Nelms from Chesterfield, retained the Womens Singles title with a hard fought 6-3 4-6 6-3 victory over Danielle Pym in the final. Olivia and Danielle then teamed up to claim the Womens Doubles title receiving a walkover in the final.
