Pat Browne, nominated by his Woodbury Club and the East Devon League, was the winner of the Devon Volunteer of the Year award for 2017.
Double Bounce, a disability programme delivered by Fiona Murphy was the winner of the Devon Disability Programme Award for 2017.
Both have now also been named by the LTA as the Regional winners of those categories!
Pat and Fiona will receive their regional awards at one of the LTA’s pre-Wimbledon events this summer where they will enjoy a day of great tennis too.
As a regional winners they will also now be put forward to the national finals judging where winners are chosen from the 5 English regions, as well as from Scotland and Wales. National winners are announced during the Wimbledon fortnight.
This is an incredible achievement and rightly acknowledges all they do for tennis and their community. Devon Tennis is delighted for Pat and Fiona and wish them both good luck in the national stage of voting.
