Tennis Clubmark is the Lawn Tennis Associations (LTA’s) sign of a quality tennis club. By achieving Tennis Clubmark clubs can be confident that they have a great tennis programme in place and off court policies and procedures that are in line with best practice.
SA Tennis which is a predominately junior club has players as young as 4 taking part in a comprehensive programme that enables children to develop in a supportive environment. The facility has really grown over the last year and the addition of floodlights has enabled coaching and fun matchplay to continue all year round.
The club is operated by Coach Steve Ashton together with a highly supportive committee.
The clubmark award was presented by Georgina Loosemore from the LTA during a busy celebratory club afternoon. Georgina said “S.A. Tennis is an exemplary club, and well deserved of this Clubmark award. Everything that the club does has the best interest of the players; Steve is a fantastic role model and together with the committee has worked really hard to offer a friendly and welcoming club”.
Steve Ashton said “ We are very honoured to receive such a prestigious award, we are extremely dedicated team of coaches, parents and committee members who aim to deliver a family friendly welcoming club which offers tennis playing, coaching and match play opportunities for players of all ages and of all and abilities”.
