The South Devon Tennis Centre in Ivybridge played host to the 10 & Under finals. Played in a great atmosphere of sportsmanship demonstrated by all players during the event, the final between Michael Owen of Taunton TC and Ben Greatrex of Cary Park TC/Torquay TC was a fitting climax to a great day. Michael took the title of Flybe Mini Master for the second season running, winning 4-0, 4-2, but Ben put up a great fight.
Debbie Hale the Cornwall and Devon Talent Performance Co-ordinator said “a superb event and fantastic finale to the Flybe events. Congratulations to all players and many thanks to our sponsor Flybe. The next season starts in April and we hope to make the circuit bigger and better so get entering. A big thank you to Peter and Jane Wilson who refereed the event, to the team leaders who did a fantastic job as court supervisors and to the South Devon Tennis Centre for hosting the event.”
