An opening day loss to the eventual group winners, Bedfordshire 3-6, was in hind sight the crucial match but the team went on to defeat Hereford & Worcestershire 5-4 and the Channel Islands 5-1 securing second place.
Captain Dan Jones said, "There was never any real danger of relegation so it was a little frustrating to narrowly miss out on promotion, especially with Howard and Jack in such fine form. They are both likely to be in America next year and will be sorely missed. The other positive was, once again, the excellent team spirit."
