The girls' team of Lizzie Warrender, Margaux Slade and Lucy Ward travelled to Bath for their regional County Cup competition. Bad weather meant that the format was reduced to just 1 short set per match but the girls did really well to come 4th, losing to Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and eventual winners Avon. A close and exciting match against Somerset gave them a well deserved win.
For our boys team playing at Salisbury, it was a case of almost but not quite. In their box they had a great win over Wiltshire 8-0 and then had an incredibly close match against Avon which they won on a countback. This gave them a semi final against Cornwall the next day which they won comfortably only to come up against Avon again in the final. This time Avon were keen to redress the balance and came out strongly to take the title 6-2.
