The team, consisting of Sian Payne, Emma Hurst, Isabella Brown, Rebecca Ley, Mia Loye, Mae Dartnell and Gabriella Hattersley, faced a tough challenge after being promoted to Division 3 following last year's success in Newport.
Team captain, Debbie Hale told the girls to play their best and enjoy the competition despite being up against stronger opponents. Devon played Cambridgeshire, Essex and Avon over a three day period.
The Devon team struggled to win their singles matches but enjoyed unexpected success in doubles. This was particularly rewarding as the girls train at different centres across the county and only had a few sessions together to practice their doubles play.
The weekend brought out a strong team spirit as the girls all supported each other during matches.
