Peter Bretherton, LTA President, spent a day in the County visiting a range of events and meeting and talkng with those involved in tennis in Devon.
The focus of the morning visit was to the Junior County County Closed, first watching a mini tennis event taking place at The Devonshire Health & Racquet Club in Plymouth and then going on to meet and talk with our older juniors and parents at Ivybridge together with members of the Devon Committee. This was really inspiring for all and Peter was impressed with the tennis being played.
Peter then travelled to the new David LLoyd Centre at Exeter where he was delighted to present the DLL team with the Clubmark plaque in recognition of the Centre achieving Clubmark accreditation. He enjoyed a tour of the new facilities before meeting with David Vinall. the Chairman of Devon LTA.
