The successful Ladies Over 65 team was represented by Anne Tait (Budleigh Salterton), Linda Knight (Torquay), Jenny Doig (Barnstaple), Nicki Keele (Sidford) and Yvonne Cottam (Dartmouth). Reserves for the team were Sue Cloke (Exeter) and Linda West (Teignmouth).
All home matches were played at Exmouth Tennis and Fitness Centre on carpet courts. Teams are always very appreciative of the tasty refreshments that the Centre provides!
The Devon ladies beat South Wales and Oxfordshire without the loss of a rubber. Lancashire proved to be the ladies toughest opposition, and although at the end of the day the score was 2-2, they lost by 6 games.
Following our two home matches the ladies travelled to Berkhamstead to play against Hertfordshire and won with the loss of only one rubber. The last match of the season was in Boston against Lincolnshire and again the Devon ladies won with the loss of only one rubber.
Well done to the ladies Over 65 County Team on their promtion to Division 1.
