West Hants club Adam Glynn member has made it through to the main draw in his first pro-event at the Aegon GB Pro-Series Bournemouth.
The 16 year-old from Broadstone, Poole, who has played at West Hants since the age of 9, followed up his second round qualifying win over Tom Allen on Sunday, with a very impressive 6-2, 6-3 victory over second seed Neil Skupski. Glynn who reached the semi-final of the 16U National Junior Championships in 2012, and won his first Junior ITF event in Kuwait in November commented:
"This is a good achievement for me in my first pro event. I feel I’ve made some big improvements in my game over the last six months, with my coaches Rob (Booth) and Rich (Irwin), and am really looking forward to my first round match tomorrow (Tuesday). So far it’s been really good having home support from coaches and members of the club."
Glynn plays fourth match on court none against 2012 runner-up and seventh seed Andy Fitzpatrick.
Play starts Tuesday 10.00am with the final round of women’s qualifying, followed by the men’s singles main draw and some women’s main draw matches.
