The Team Tennis Dorset 2013 entry period is fast approaching with clubs, parks and universities entering their teams into the competition online this year for the first time.
The singles-based team competition runs from April-June in a 12 week league season and provides a fun and exciting tennis experience for players of all ages (8&U – adults) to compete with their friends against local teams. Over a 1000 venues and 25,000 players competed in Team Tennis 2012 nationwide.
Entries will open on 3rd December 2012 and close on 31st January 2013. Online entry brings a number of benefits, making it quick and easy to enter, with confirmation emails received on entry and payment made online. Gone are the days of paper entry forms and cheques!
An online video will be available to support captain’s entering, and local organisers will be on hand for any further questions.
Dorset is one of six Counties that have been selected to trial online entry for Team Tennis, before a wider role out to all County tiers in 2014. Team Tennis Dorset 2013 organiser, Andrew Sanger said ‘We are delighted to be part of the pilot and to be able to offer online entry this year to our venues. This is the final piece in making the Team Tennis experience for captains completely online - from entry and fixtures to league tables and results submission’.
To support this new process an email is being sent over the next few days to club managers, head coaches and 2012 captains in Team Tennis Dorset to let them know about the online entry pilot. At the start of December a promotional flyer will be posted to venues, combined with an email sent to venue main contacts and head coaches which will include the venue login and password to support the online entry process.
After the entry deadline, teams will receive their fixtures in February, giving seven weeks to arrange their match times before their first match in April.
