Rachel works at Christchurch Tennis Facility and does a fantastic job running her program on council leased courts. She is a leading beacon and clubmark provider in the county and has over 200 players on her program with close to 100 regularly competing juniors.
Rachel has worked hard to develop her relationship with the council and consistently invests her own money back into the business, replacing poor nets, improving the clubhouse and replacing floodlight bulbs in the facility. Christchurch has won club of the year at the Dorset LTA.
Rachel is also currently working on her own project to improve the amount of girls accessing tennis through her program. She achieves such numbers and success within six miles of a High Performance Centre, two satellites, two further clubmark venues and other local authority park courts within Bournemouth.
She is a great role model for other self employed female coaches and is working hard developing other young coaches and competition organisers under her tutelage.
On winning the award Rachel commented: "Winning AEGON Coach of the Month is a massive achievement for any coach and I am absolutely delighted to receive it this month.
"My facility, Christchurch Tennis, prides itself on its relaxed friendly atmosphere, welcoming anyone to pick up a racket and have a go. I have just added to our already buzzing program; Cardio Tennis, Tots Tennis and we are looking to increase Girls Tennis over the next year.
"With the great team of coaches that I have at CTF and the terrific support from our Local Dorset LTA Office, I look forward to growing the program and driving tennis forward in the local community for many more years.
