Lucy Farrar of Yarm Tennis Club has been selected as an Olympic Torchbearer.
Lucy will be carrying the Olympic Flame through Sedgefield on June 17th as part of the National Torch Relay. This is a fantastic honour for Lucy and Durham & Cleveland Tennis after her many hours of tennis volunteering.
Lucy has helped coaching sessions, assisted at local competitions for primary schools and refereed mini tennis tournaments. Lucy can’t wait to receive her official 2012 Olympic Torchbearer uniform and proudly run through the streets with the Olympic Flame.
