Over 560 people visited Centre Square Middlesbrough to view the BBC Big Screen Live Site!

Saturday was the busiest day with over 330 coming to have a go on the activities on offer.  These included mini tennis nets, Tennis Factory, volleyball and swingball.  It was a great day with families enjoying the free tennis on offer, whilst also being able to watch the Women's Singles Final between Williams and Radwanska.  A large number of youngsters found comfort on the huge BT multicoloured bean bags underneath the big screen for the afternoon.

Diane Harker and Scott from Middlesbrough Borough Council led the event with Jo Cunliffe from the LTA supporting.  Nigel Garton who is the Director of Tennis at Tennis World also came along with son Theo to promote the up and coming summer tennis sessions at the Club which is 5 mins from the Live Site.

It was great to see the allplaytennis.com surrounds offering the square its very own Centre Court and we were delighted by the numbers who continued to play throughout the afternoon!  Some of the young players came for both days as they simply couldn't get enough of the action both on and off the court.  See video here.
