Only 6 weeks to go until AEGON Team Tennis 2012 kicks off!
There are a total of 38 teams in Cumbria and 136 teams in the North East who have entered this years competition. This truly highlights the continued hard work, dedication and commitment from many of our Places to Play, coaches, volunteers, players and parents.
The ethos of AEGON Team Tennis is all about teamwork and regular competative opportunites from 8 and under to adults. Following on from recent years we are sure that this year is going to be just as good. Christine Klee who is the AEGON Team Tennis organiser for the region commented,
"We're very excited about this years competition, particularly because for the first time in a long time we are running a ladies open division. All clubs and captains are familiar with the format and we are confident that it is going to be an enjoyable experience for everyone involved."
We held a captains meeting in the North East and a couple of the captains (Dave Davis and Christine Heppell) are pictured with Christine and Abi Rodwell.
