Bill won referee of the year in October 2011, and was presented with his award at the Competition Organiser & Referee Workshop at Sunderland Tennis Centre.
Bill is the LTA Officiating Consultant and works with the Competitions Team, mainly working with the areas of rules, competition regulations, discipline and complaints.
As a tournament referee Bill has a very busy schedule, including;
Being the overall National referee for all AEGON Team Tennis, the National Referee for all County Cup events, refereeing the finals of the National Premier Doubles League and being referee for three British Tour events!
He has been refereeing for almost 20 years and and is an ITF White Badge Referee and a Referee course tutor. This is an outstanding achievement and therefore it is only right that he should receive such an award.
