60 hearing impaired children, representing 12 schools in the North East descended on Tennis World on Tuesday 27th March for their annual Mini Tennis Tournament.
Divided into 12 groups they played round robin matches to decide on the eventual semi finalists. At this knockout stage competition became a little tighter and resulted in some very close finishes, none more so than a 7-6, 7-6 result in the 10U girls final. With the finalists coming from 5 different schools it proved to be a very successful day.
The photo shows 9 of the finalists and the two children on the front left of the picture won the two “For Endeavour” Awards.
