Jack Thompson and Libby Darley have enjoyed success on the Mini Red tournament scene.
Jack won the grade 3 tournament at Batley in Yorkshire and Libby won the grade 3 at Yarm and became county champion.
Jack has been putting in the hours on the practice courts and has really grown up and is maturing into a good tennis player. Patrick Robinson, his coach, has seen him go from strength to strength with his technical ability and his matchplay focus. Jack has also been helping Patrick to coach on the development squads and he has been helping kids the same age and younger to get better.
Libby has shown very good qualities as a tennis player. She is dedicated to her training and is always keen to get on the courts and show her tennis talents off. I see a lot of promise ahead for this young girl. With a full competition schedule ahead and with practice of 6hrs a week there maybe a few more titles this year for her.
On behalf of the club I would like to congratulate both Jack and Libby for there dedication and achievements over the last 3 months. I also would like to wish them luck in the regional club championships in Leeds in November.
