Easter Sunday saw the start of Boldon Lawn Tennis Club's competition for 2014.
Twenty five junior players from all over the North East and Cumbria came together to take part in the first event. The standard of play was high and was a terrific advert for junior tennis. As it was Easter Sunday all players competing in the match play left with an Easter Egg.
The match play is part of the new programme being put together by Stephanie Eadon, Boldon Lawn Tennis Clubs Head Coach who joined the club last year. Stephanie said; "It was great to see so many players supported by their family and friends come together on Easter Sunday for a match play event."
Stephanie is currently restructuring the clubs junior programme which will incorporate monthly mini and junior match plays, as well as Grade 5 competitions. The restructure includes mini and junior squad sessions for children of all abilities from 3 to 18 years old. Stephanie has also extended the adult programme to include adult sessions and cardio tennis.

Match Play - 10.2 - 7.1 - boys and girls
Saturday 17th May - 15:00 till 18:00
U16 Grade 5 - boys and girls
Sunday 18th May - 14:00 start
