Sports clubs, coaches and volunteers were celebrated in a special ceremony on Friday 31 January. Their dedication and work in sports clubs and teams earned recognition at Stockton Council's annual Club, Volunteer and Coach Awards.
The awards, now in their ninth year, took place at Stockton Town Football Club. They recognise the invaluable work and achievements of dedicated volunteers and coaches, not only for their own clubs but also for the wider community.
The Mayor of Stockton, Councillor Kathryn Nelson, presented the awards. All the nominations were made by members of the public in recognition of the huge commitments made to further sporting participation and achievements.
Tennis was up against Cycling, rugby, football, swimming, and cricket.
