9 Schools from across Tyne and Wear competed in the Tony Blair Sports Foundation Year 3 Tennis Challenge Cup final June 27.
The event took place at Sunderland Tennis Centre, Silksworth and the 2 qualifiers, Whickham Parochial and Fellside will compete at the North East Regional Final being held on Wednesday July 9th.
The matches took place first and were followed by the Tennis Factory, where the youngsters are put through their paces on different skills circuits including the 'rally rebound net,' 'volley ladder,' 'can knockdown' and 'mini micro net.'
