It was free, its was fun, it was for the family and it was a fantastic day.
Parents and children from around the North East came together on a lovely sunny Saturday morning at Boldon Lawn Tennis Club, to take part in a Mini Tennis taster session. The session was part of the Lawn Tennis Association National Mini Tennis Month, encouraging parents and children to play tennis together.
The LTA's Mini Tennis sessions are the perfect family introduction to tennis. It allows parents and children to try lots of fun tennis activities and games to not only improve the child's tennis but also their parents. Mini Tennis is played on smaller courts with low bouncing balls and is a great way to develop coordination, ball awareness and basic tennis skills.
