The Essex Boy’s U18 team travelled to Corby knowing that a good performance would virtually ensure promotion to Division 1 for next year’s competition.  The team made up of Sam Bayda, James Caddies, Jared Linzell, and Andrew Berry made the early start required to get to the venue for the 10.30am start.

Essex Boys Under 18 team have failed to retain their Division 2 status despite best efforts in a very strong group 2b that included Buckinghamshire, Dorset, and Middlesex sides.

The Essex Tennis Winter Knock Out Cup Finals were played at The Deanes on Sunday 1st March. The finals were played in a good spirit and provided enjoyable entertainment for spectators and finalists alike.

David Lloyd Basildon held the popular spring tournament, during the February half term week, with a slightly increased entry this year.     Essex players had a brilliant week, taking home the trophies in all but 2 of the events.

The Essex Individual Tournament finals took place on Sunday 22nd March at Redbridge Sports and Leisure.  The programme began at 9.30 and an enjoyable tournament was enjoyed by all.  Thank you to the players who took part and the spectators that came along to support!

Chelmsfordians Tennis Club have developed a two day course taking place on 13th and 14th August.  This covers all five Tennis Leaders modules plus addditional modules on communication and effective listening.
