Nominate your Place to Play for an award

The British Tennis awards are taking place at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at the O2 arena during the afternoon session on Monday November 4th. These awards are aimed at recognising the people who make British tennis a success on an international, national and local level.

Frinton LTC celebrates opening of new Floodlit hardcourts

Frinton Lawn Tennis Club celebrated the opening of their new floodlit hard court complex on Tuesday 17^th September. Guest of honour was Elena Baltacha.

Woodford Wells Junior Open G3 Tournament

Entries are now open for this year's Woodford Wells Open Junior Tournament (ESS13W0888). The tournament will take place between Sunday 27th October and Saturday 2nd November and is a Grade 3 LTA sanctioned event.

Basildon LTC host touchtennis showcase tournament

Essex Ladies competed at Devonshire Park, Eastbourne Aug 9-11^th and despite various injuries did well to remain in Division 2.

Wilson Open Series at the Connaught Club

Having changed the regular date to accommodate other tournaments in Essex, the Wilson Open Series received the most entries it has for some time. The quality of matches and level of entries was extremely high with several matches lasting the full three sets.

Thorpe Bay hosts The Essex Junior County Closed LTC

The final week of August saw the culmination of this summer’s junior tournament circuit, The Essex Junior County Closed Lawn Tennis Championships. The event, hosted by Thorpe Bay LTC, was blessed with fantastic weather throughout the week and was supported by almost 300 competitors.

67th Essex Open Tournament held at Billericay LTC

This was the 67^th year that the Essex Open Tournament had been held and the tenth occasion that it has been hosted by Billericay Lawn Tennis Club.

Epping Tennis Club goes to Germany for their bi annual exchange trip!

Last weekend it was time for the exchange trip for Epping Tennis Club to visit Eppingen in Germany held from Friday, 23^rd August to Monday 26^th August.

LTA Registered Coaching Assistant (self employed/part time) required in Chingford/East London Area

A coaching opportunity has arisen in the East London Area for a part-time, self-employed tennis coaching assistant, ideally the successful candiate should be a level 2 coach but a keen Level 1 who is looking to take their level 2 in the near future will be considered.
