Maisie Hoggard celebrates her 80th birthday playing tennis and is still going strong!
Maisie starting playing tennis as a teenager at Lydney Grammar School back in the 1940’s and joined Lydney Tennis Club when it opened in 1952.
After a short break while she was living at Churchdown, Maisie got a car in order to continue playing at Lydney and, now living in Hucclecote, she has continued to play there ever since!
Maisie still represents Lydney in the Ladies League and also finds time to play weekly with the ladies at Oxstalls Indoor Tennis Centre where she is an inspiration to all players.
We very much wish Maisie many more years of playing tennis in Gloucestershire!
