The strongest players from across the region competed at the highly successful Winchester Easter Open with success for a number of Hampshire players.
10 & Under
Noah Bradwell (Hampshire) beat Jake Bell (Hampshire) in the 10 & Under Boys final, whilst Katie Swan (Avon) defeated Jodie Burridge (Surrey).
12 & Under
In an action-packed 12 & Under Boys final, Dan Little (Sussex) defeated Joe Weatherley (Hampshire) in a final set tie-break, whilst Katie Swan (Avon) lifted another title defeating Katarina Weymouth (Middlesex) in the Girls event.
14 & Under
The 14 & Under Girls final was won by Amelia Stuart (Dorset) who defeated Natalie Haden-Scott (Surrey) in another final set tie-break. Adam Glynn (Dorset) came from a set and a break down to beat Rob Mitchell (Hampshire) in the Boys final.
16 & Under
Cheshire’s Stephen Crawshaw lifted the 16 & Under Boys title, defeating Jonathan Bradley (Cheshire), whilst Hampshire’s Ella Taylor narrowly missed out, losing to Laura Hornsby (Surrey) in the Girls event.
18 & Under
Pardis Kianoush (Surrey) defeated Hampshire’s Becky Harman to win the Girls 18 & Under competition in straight sets. The Boys 18 & Under final was an all-Hampshire affair, with Mike Johnson defeating Nick Sayer in straight sets.
