Two of Hampshire's top juniors have won titles at the AEGON British Junior Nationals this week at the National Tennis Centre in London and West Hants Club in Bournemouth.
Firstly, there was success for Southampton's Alex Gasson as the 16 year old partnered Devon's Jack Findel-Hawkins to win the 18 & Under national doubles title on the acryllic courts at the National Tennis Centre in London. Gasson, who is coached by Paul Hand at David Lloyd Southampton and his partner defeated Luke Johnson and Toby Mitchell in the final 6-4 6-1.
The pair will be teaming up at the 16 & Under nationals next week in Bournemouth.
Elsewhere, Hampshire number one Miles McDowell teamed up with George Hedley at the 14 & Under AEGON British Junior Nationals to win his first national title. The 14 year old trains at both the Winchester Tennis & Squash Club and David Lloyd Southampton each week.
Both players will be competing at this years Hampshire & Isle of Wight Junior County Championships at the Winchester Tennis & Squash Club from Monday 29th August.
