Hampshire’s Alexia Yannaros has made the final eight in the Young Sportswoman of the Year. shortlist of the We Can Do It 2009 Sports Awards run by The Portsmouth News.

Alexia Yannaros is one of the highest rated tennis players for her age in the country and among the top six on the Aegon Junior Grand Prix Circuit for U18s, at just 15 years old giving away several years to some of her opponents.

 

To vote for Alexia you need to send a text starting with tnvote sports, 22, your name, your house number or name and postcode, in that order to 81800. Add STOP to the end of the message if you do not want to receive a marketing message confirming your entry. All replied messages cost 25p plus the standard network charge.

So, if your name is John Smith and you live at number 26 with the postcode PO2 9SX and want to vote for Alexia you would need to send the text:
tnvote sports 22 john smith 26 PO2 9SX

Voting closes at midnight on Monday 8th February and the winners will be revealed at a special presentation evening arranged in conjunction with The Coast radio station at Portsmouth Guildhall on February 16.
