The first ever 9 & Under County Cup took place at the Bath High Performance Centre last weekend. Counties put forward two boys and two girls aged 9 & Under to represent them at a combination of singles and doubles play. Hampshire emerged champions of the two day event which showcased some of the best talent in the South West. Hampshire defeated other teams from:
- South Wales
- Dorset
- Somerset
- Avon
- Wiltshire
- Devon
- Cornwall
The team were captained by Sarah Rutherford, Talent & Performance Co-ordinator who said “the team played very well all weekend and showed great team spirit against some great opposition.”
The County Team comprised of Wilson Neaves (coached by Ashley Neaves), Ryan Hutchinson (coached by Dave Buzzard), Thandy Mlambo (coached by Kevin Baker) and Caitlin Turner (coached by Andy Barkley).
