Winchester Tennis & Squash Club played host to the 27th annual Under 16's Hampshire Schools Doubles Championships this week.
The event, which featured school teams from 13 secondary schools accross the County gives talented players the chance to represent their school at Hampshire's most prestigious and longest running schools event.
This year the Priory School from Southsea won both the boys and girls events. The boys team of Barney Tomms and Brad Baker defeated Kings School (Winchester) whilst the girls team of Claudia Hampson and Iman Muhammed defeated Oaklands School (Waterlooville) in what turned out to be a great days tennis for the pupils and their accompanying adults.
Simon Johnson, Tennis Development Manager, for Hampshire & Isle of Wight LTA said
"The U16 schools doubles event is the longest running schools event within the County. For one school to win both events is a huge achievement and we'll look forward to seeing Priory School next year trying to defend both titles"
